The handle

The hatchet handle is made of ash wood and is ergonomically shaped, making it especially comfortable to hold and easier to use. Ash, a valuable raw material, grows throughout much of Europe, particularly in the northern Alpine foothills, and is one of the most important hardwoods. The wood is very dense and hard, yet its high elasticity makes it easy to work with. Thanks to its excellent mechanical properties, ash is ideal for high-quality garden and outdoor tools. It is sturdy and durable, as well as pleasant to the touch. The wood is varnished for better protection against moisture and dirt.
 


The hatchet edge

The camping hatchet's cutting edge is made of hand-forged Swedish steel, which is exceptionally durable and robust thanks to a special treatment. Its sharp, precise grind delivers accurate results from the first try.

Please note: For safety reasons, we cannot supply our cutting and chopping tools fully sharpened.
