For environmentally friendly loosening of the soil and weeding in the garden, the grub hoe is an indispensable tool. The mini-plough breaks through hard, parched and clay soils with little effort. It effortlessly removes weeds, even those with deep roots, and the pointed garden tool dances between closely planted beds, pulling weeds out of the ground.

There are many garden tools, but tools of this quality are rare. They are made by one of Europe’s oldest family businesses. These products stand for robustness and durability, not mass production. No plastic. No chemicals. No cheap sheet metal. Made by experienced craftspeople, for experienced craftspeople. A tool that brings the old craft tradition of the blacksmiths’ guild to life.

Tip: A hanging hole in the handle allows for neat, space-saving storage.

  • ecological, environmentally friendly weed removal
  • loosens hard, dried-out soil
  • made of robust steel with a high-quality ash wood handle
  • ideal for hard-to-reach spots and closely planted beds
  • available in different handle lengths
  • hand-forged by a German family business

The grub hoe is a mechanical mini-plough. To loosen the soil, pull the hand plough lengthwise and crosswise over the bed at regular intervals. The shape of the tine allows for deep penetration, even in hard soil. After loosening the soil, fertilizer can easily be worked in with the grub hoe. Its long, pointed shape makes the grub hoe ideal for removing deep-rooted plants.

The handle

The hatchet handle is made of ash wood and ergonomically shaped, making it especially comfortable to hold and easier to work with. Its rounded back makes it particularly energy-efficient to use. Ash, a high-quality raw material, grows across most of Europe, especially in the northern foothills of the Alps, and is one of the most important hardwoods. The wood is very dense and hard, yet its high elasticity makes it easy to work with. Thanks to its excellent mechanical properties, ash is ideal for high-quality garden and outdoor tools. It is sturdy and durable, as well as pleasant to the touch. The wood is varnished to protect it better from moisture and dirt.

The tine

The tine is made of hand-forged Swedish steel, which is exceptionally durable and robust thanks to its special treatment. Its curved shape and flat, V-shaped tip deliver precise results from the very first use.
